To discover Paris and its way of life, it is essential to go to one of its markets at least once. In the 12th arrondissement, one of the most picturesque - and least expensive - is undoubtedly the market Aligre, very popular with Parisians who come from all over the city to enjoy its pleasant atmosphere. In a general atmosphere of old provincial market, the market of Aligre (which exists since 1779) is at the same time a market of food and a flea market.


Built largely on an old railway line, the planted promenade (also called green flow) is a pleasant garden and pedestrian path to discover the 12th district of Paris.
It begins in Bastille and extends to the level of the Parisian south-east ring road, to Porte Dorée metro station (L 8).
