Travel Details from the host -> Hello ! My name is Nikos Georgiou , I am working as a civil engineer , and I would be glad to be your host in the city of Heraklion in Crete ! My hobbies include sports , travelling , history and cinema . I am sure that there are a lot more than just five things that make one man’s life ‘’happy’’ and ‘’complete’’. As regards my priorities , family comes first . Just to imagine that I am asked to remember the best moments of my entire life so far… it will end up with members of my family taking part into them . These memories are the strongest weapon for the days to come and , moreover , for all the daily difficulties each one of us have to face . In the same memories I described before , next to my family members , are standing my friends ! It’s a pity that sometimes the distance between me and some of my best friends , is a negative factor to meet each other more often . But , anyway , I always try to keep in touch . As the third most important thing , I would choose my dreams and goals . Dreams to do new things , meet interesting persons , visit new places , make new friends … I think this a way that makes ‘’present’’ and ‘’future ‘’ secure ! Finally the last 2 important things for me are much simpler: A daily morning coffee (very common thing for Greek people ) and the summer night walks in the city of Heraklion (everyone with the same experience with me , I believe he can understand me !). There are 2 countries that I have visited before but I want to visit again . The first one is France .. I have been for 5 days in Paris , and of course that was not enough ! French people described me other French cities that I should visit , and , since then ,I always try to find the circumstances to accomplish that dream ! Marseilles , Nice , Bordeaux etc are on my list for sure . The second one is Spain . While spending a week in Madrid , the locals were always saying that Madrid is much better than Barcelona .. So , I need to visit Barcelona , to find out if it’s true ! Furthermore , there are a lot of places that I have never been before and I would like to visit one day .. If I have to choose one , I would prefer China !! I suppose it would be a very fascinating experience ! The list with my favorite actors/actresses , includes Vincent Cassel , Antonio Banderas , Nicole Kidman and many others. My best film director ? I would say : ‘’Guy Ritchie’’ . My favorite books , I think that are a little bit boring for most of the people , because they have as main subject History (a hobby of mine ) and Urban Planning (because of my job) . As regards the music I like most , I would say British Rock .. The Beatles , Coldplay , Radiohead and Adele among others . Concerning food , I like new tastes . I believe it’s a great feeling , when you have the chance to taste , for the first time , foods you have never eaten before ! It’s my first year in Airbnb , so I will try , together with the most adorable co-host of Crete , Evagelia Manousaki (I know she’s getting angry when I am writing these lines) to do our best . Crete is a big island with a lot of places that worths visiting , but on the other hand most of the people have just few days . In these few day days , they need to decide when to relax and when to tour . Evagelia and I, are going to be able to keep a daily contact , so as to overcome any unexpected problem , that might occur , and moreover to give our advice to our guests , so as no time to be wasted . My motto : Precious time in a Precious way !
