I was born in Chania and this had been our summer family holidays house, since I was a child.  I speak greek, english and fluent french, as I have been living and working in Paris as a cosmetic R\u0026amp;D chemist for years. We are olive oil producers and I launched my organic cosmetic line with cretan herbs, Cretan Essence.\nThe house is one of the first houses of the area, renovated by my husband, Xavier, a french decorator, respecting the original style. It is an independant house, with a nice view to the mountains and the city of Chania, 2 min walking to the sandy beach of Chryssi Akti, 3 km from Chania (10 min by public bus or car).\nIt is not necessary to rent a car. The area is very calm and convenient, as it is close to Chania. There are mini-markets, beach bars and restaurants, in a walking distance. There are several small bays in the surroundings and the sea is shallow, ideal for kids. You can rent pedalos and paddleboards in the beach.
