The area where my apartment is situated, is a residential area with few small hotels, in the modern part of the town , 350 m or (100 steps and 100 m) away from the west beach of Rethimno and a pleasant,15 minutes stroll,by the sea, to the old town and the castle.
There are some wonderful fish restaurants on the beach.
The area has got a mini market where you can buy fruit and vegetables whereas a bigger supermarket, a butcher’s ,a fish shop , a bakery and a petrol station to serve the locals, are within a walking distance of 1200m.
The road in front of the apartment is quiet with low traffic throughout the year.
There is also an off-street space for parking.
If jogging is your thing there is a littlestadium open from 8a.m. to 10p.m.free of charge nearby (1900m) and two tennis courts ( booking required,small fee),in a quiet area with small houses and trees.

Rethimno is my second hometown since I have been living here for many many years.l really feel blessed about that ,because I can't imagine myself living away from the sea and nature.
