The famous "pink house" in the heart of Chalkio, the most beautiful village of Naxos, is opening its doors in 2022! This traditional residence of 140 m2 can accomodate 4 persons plus 2 and offers all the amenities you need. Though fully renovated, it offers an experience of life in the early 1900s, with the original furniture and decoration of its previous owners, Moscha and Demetri, both historical figures of Chalkio in the early 20th century.

The space
The neoclassical house of Moscha, a landmark house in Chalki, Naxos was built in 1896 (the same year Moscha was born). It was the house (1st floor) and the fabric store (ground floor) of Moscha and her husband Demetri during the time of financial blowing of Chalkio, when the village was the shopping center of Naxos.

Near the house is the Byzantine church of Panagia Protothronos, which has been in operation for over a thousand years, while in a 10-minute distance Saint George Diasoritis, an outstanding Byzantine monument visited each year by thousands of tourists. There are beautiful hiking trails around Chalki, as well as dozens of Byzantine churches, two Venetian towers, traditional monuments and of course the olive grove of Tragea, a monument of nature.
