The property is a restored 13th Century Olive Mill in the heart of Maroulas.
We have two double rooms each with an ensuite in a separate annex to the main house (access is via the main house)
Guests are welcome to use all facilities including the pool, hot tub, garden, sunbeds and roof terrace.
The rooms are well appointed with a king size bed, air conditioning, fridge, tea coffee facilities, toiletries, hairdryer, dressing gowns. Guests can choose their breakfast from our ample menu.

A holiday here lets you experience what Crete is all about staying in a traditional Cretean village much of which has hardly changed since the Venetian's made it their home.

Maroulas is the perfect place for a holiday off the beaten track whilst being only a few minutes drive to the beachside resort of Plantanis and major supermarkets.

The stunningly beautiful Venetian town of Rethymnon is twenty minutes away where in the maze of tiny streets you will find numerous high end restaurants, traditional tavernas and bars along with an abundance of shops.

Within Maroulas village there are two excellent tavernas, Katerina and Armos and short drive or walk brings you to tavernas Fantastiko and Thavma.

The village is also home to the famous Marianna workshop and a small independent cheesemaker.

Travel Details from the host -> Julie and myself live at the Old Olive Mill in the Venetian village of Maroulas. When we bought the house the whole property was let during the tourist season. However we fell in love with Maroulas and the Cretan way of life and decided to make this our permanent home. We thought that the two guest rooms would make a fabulous B&B as they are separate from the main house and our guests can have full use of the pool, hot tub, garden, terraces and sun beds. Julie loves cooking and breakfast is first class with homemade bread, cake and preserves. When in season, guests are welcome to pick their own oranges from our trees. The Garden Suite is on the ground floor with direct access to the garden. The Olive Suite is on the first floor and has a private balcony and small terrace. We both speak English και λίγα ελληνικά and look forward to welcoming you to our home
