It's a great district, right by the park and the river. In the summer lots of people have picnics by the Seine and people congregate there to listen to music and dance.

Travel Details from the host

I grew up in the UK (Stonehenge, Bath, Hebrides..) but have lived in the centre of Paris for ten years now and teach English at a science university here. Paris has more different films showing in cinemas in any one day than other city in the world. It's also pretty quiet and sleepy for a capital city but that makes cycling around easy. I've only ever had good experiences of people coming to stay. As well as Europe I've spent 5 months in India (everywhere), 1 month in China (Yunan and Beijing), 10 days in Russia (St Petersburg and Moscow) and 3 months in the US (mostly Asheville NC, but also Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago and MIchigan). I look forward to hosting and being hosted on Airbnb!
