Being near the best park in central Paris (buttes chaumont) the yoga centre 10 minute walk along the canal you can stay healthy and spiritual at the same time. The cinema is also a 10 minute walk again along the canal.
All the little cafes and restaurants along the canal serve decent food.
Regarding bread and baguettes- get "la tradition" whenever you are in Paris. So much better than regular baguettes
