The apartment of 45 sq. with its private patio and air conditioning has been recently renovated by an architect. It is located on the 1st floor (without elevator), hillside of an old building on the bank of the Saône river, a few steps away from the historical area of the Vieux Lyon (Old Town of Lyon). I describe later the positive and the negative points of the space.

I wished this place particular, a place where I could find "shelter" although being just few steps from the old town. Let's describe it (positive and negative points) !
You will enter a quite old building (17th century, this is the Old Town neighborhood). The building entrance is definitely not the most enlightened one! Then you will have to go upstairs to the first floor via the spiral staircase (quite typical in this area). The apartment is located in the center of Lyon, on the banks of the Saône adjacent to the “Vieux Lyon” (please see pictures).
The Jardin des Chartreux is ten minutes walking distance: you’ll enjoy the amazing view of the city from up there. The banks of the Saône, perfect for a jogging or a nice walk, are accessible as soon as you leave the building.
After these essential spots, lose yourself in the heart of the Old Town, a few minutes away on foot, and you’ll discover Fourvière hill and its majestuous Basilica!

Travel Details from the host -> Résidant à Munich, je travaille dans le domaine de la recherche médicale autour des troubles respiratoires et du sommeil. J’ai récemment acquis ce petit appartement dans le vieux Lyon. A son acquisition j’avais déjà le projet d’en faire une location saisonnière de courte durée. Je souhaitais en faire un lieu particulier où m’y reposer et me réfugier à l’occasion d’un voyage sur Lyon. Avec mon architecte Manon (à qui je dois ce projet), nous avons pensé les espaces et la décoration pour en faire un lieu moderne tout en conservant son authenticité. Ce petit 45 m2 a nécessité beaucoup d’heures de travail (de la part des artisans !), mais le résultat je pense en vaut la peine. Ma pièce préférée : La terrasse :). J’espère que vous sentirez ici comme chez vous, dans ce lieu un peu insolite proche du vieux quartier Lyonnais le temps d’un weekend ou d’un plus long séjour. Pierre-Charles
