Welcome in my apartment in Vienna! I'm offering a single room with shared use of facilities. Expect a historic looking, quiet residential area, where nonetheless everything is at your fingertips: talking about local amenities as well as places to eat or drink. Very special is the proximity to Donaukanal and Augarten, which makes it a veritable "green zone" (for such an urban one). And to get to the heart of it (old town) takes you only 15 minutes.

The space
The room measures about 5 × 2 meters with a room height of 3.70 (!) meters, is freshly painted and has parquet flooring. Storage space, reading material (German, English, a few Spanish and even fewer Chinese books) as well as radio-CD-player, WLAN are available. The window on the west side faces the street, but car traffic in the 30s zone is minimal and almost exclusively restricted to residents.

A quiet residential area, but from where "everything" is within easy reach - shopping, going out, eating and drinking, strolling (Augarten [beautiful park], Donaukanal [Danube Canal, my favourite place for contemporary art since there are miles of graffiti]), culture (Sigmund Freud Museum, Palais Lichtenstein, theatre, cinemas with original language programm mainly in French and English ...).
The special thing here is the intact urban landscape of 1900 and the very high proportion of greenery due to the old stock of trees and the proximity to Augarten and especially the Danube Canal.

Travel Details from the host -> Hauptsache Buchstaben – so könnte man in kürzester Form mein Berufsleben beschreiben. Bücher, Übersetzungen, Lektorate, Storys, was auch immer. Nur zum Reiseschriftsteller habe ich es (noch) nicht gebracht, eher im Gegenteil: Ich arbeite fast ausschließlich von zu Hause aus. Deshalb habe ich mich entschlossen, Airbnb-Host zu werden: Statt die Welt zu bereisen, hole ich sie mir ins Haus. Die vielen interessanten, herzlichen, sympathischen Menschen aus wirklich allen Ecken des Planeten, die ich seither kennenlernen durfte, haben mein Leben bereichert.
