Travel Details from the host -> Μου αρέσει να μοιράζω το χρόνο μου ανάμεσα στο νησί, την Αθήνα, τα βουνά που λατρεύω, και τα ταξίδια. Η Κίμωλος είναι για μένα ένας τόπος δύναμης και κληρονομιάς. Αγαπώ ό,τι άγγιξαν οι πρόγονοί μου και η γραμμή του αίματος με τραβά πάντα πίσω. Το σπίτι που θα μείνετε το κληρονόμησα από τη θεία μου που έχω το όνομά της και το ονόμασα από τη λέξη φιλοξενία γιατί φιλοδοξώ να γίνει το δικό σας σπίτι. Οι φίλοι μου με έβλεπαν πάντα σαν πρεσβευτή της Κιμώλου γιατί τους ταξίδευαν οι φωτογραφίες μου και οι διηγήσεις μου αλλά και οι ξεναγήσεις και οι εμπειρίες που μοιραζόμουν μαζί τους όταν περνούσαν από το νησί. Έχω ένα έρωτα με το σπίτι μου στο κάστρο που διατηρώ σαν μια μικρή χρονοκάψουλα. Δεινή συλλέκτρια άγριων μανιταριών, αγαπώ το φθινόπωρο όσο και το καλοκαίρι. Η λογοτεχνία, η ποίηση αλλά και οι χειροτεχνίες, η φωτογραφία και η μαγειρική αποτελούν αγαπημένες ενασχολήσεις. I love to spent the year, between Kimolos, Athens and the greek mountains. Most of all, I appreciate the journey while travelling. Kimolos for me, owns a great empowering energy, hope you will discover it too. I honour my inheritance and my bloodline calls me back to return on the island. The property you will stay, was inherited by my aunt Maria, and was named after the Greek term φιλοξενία-philoxenia-hospitality which in ancient Greek tradition meant more than the term describes: make the visitor feel like home. My ambition is that you will refer to Xenia’s as your home in Greece! My friends consider me as an “ambassador” from Kimolos. Pictures, objects and storytelling made them to visit and share experiences and touring around together. There is another unique place that keeps me in Kimolos. My personal residence in the Castle of Kimolos, which I preserve as a Time Capsule. Keen in mushroom hunting I adore fall as much as summer. Literature and poetry are my little secret hobbies. I also enjoy cooking, photography and crafts.
