Best to sleep in mezzanine, although there is also a sofa bed, large desk, kitchenette area with a microwave, rice cooker, shower, wc, clothes cupboard, radio/CD player, French-English dictionaries, various maps and guides, UK and US sockets & adaptors.
No washing machine but launderettes nearby, one with great cafe/bar across the road to enjoy while washing clothes!

Place de la Bastille - birthplace of the Revolution of 1789 has been beautifully re-developed. Trendy rue de la Roquette, rue La Lappe, rue Oberkampf are buzzing with culture and night life.
It is a very old part of Paris with a unique atmosphere of narrow streets and courtyards, countless little cafes and boutiques, but also many green spaces to relax.
Centre Pompidou, Le Marais, Place de la Republique, Opera Bastille, Pere Lachaise, le Viaduc des Arts, Gare de Lyon and la Seine river are all within walking distance.
Just a short walk to the famous Richard Lenoir street market (sunday and thursday until 14:30).
