Parking inside the old city, generally isn't always easy, since it's bigger part consists of narrow and paved streets. There are, however, some parking spots for the neighborhood right behind the house, and in any case, it won't be hard to find a parking spot around the area, within walking distance.

During the Ottoman era the neigbourhood was the christian part of a predominantly Turkish district and you still can find next to the house the temple of Aghioi Anargyroi, which was the only Orthodox Church in the city until the 19th century, as well as the Bishop’s residence, “Despotiko”, that now is a beautifuly restored building right next to the house.
The house is accesed through a narrow, paved pedestrian street and it is surrounded by beautiful old buidings that gives the neighborhood a historical charm and the feeling of a local to those who stay in it.
A few minutes away from the house, there is Splantzia's square with it's big plane tree, which in recent years has been fully reformed and has been converted into one of the most popular neighborhoods, with cafes, bars and taverns,but still preserving all the features that reveal Chania's status
