A two-floor small stone-built house with a living room, kitchen and WC downstairs, a wooden staircase leading to a bedroom with a queen size bed upstairs. The bedroom that overlooks Souda Bay has a small loft just above it big enough for a mattress, a spacious shower, a separate WC and a tiny balcony.
The space
A cosy stone house in a small village called Korakies 15 minutes from Chania airport and 10 minutes from Chania Old Town making this an ideal base to explore western Crete. Tucked away on a quiet road within the traditional part of the village with views over Souda Bay and close to many well known beaches, monasteries and restaurants.

Guests have access to the house, a small back yard and there is usually off-road parking for one vehicle.

As there are no stores of any kind around, car noise is minimal so you get to enjoy "village" noise like bird singing, dog barking and the summer cicada persistent song. At 21.00 sharp every evening when out on the veranda one can hear the ferry from down the bay sound its departure to the capital. Nykterida Restaurant one of the oldest and most famous restaurants in Chania is located a few minutes' walk from the house.
Travel Details from the host -> I am so blessed to live in this unique part of the world, where everything I love exists in abundance: mountains, the ocean, nature and excellent food. I believe that caring for our environment is crucial and I make every effort to encourage recycling and sustainability wherever possible. I will even go to extreme lengths to give life to a reclaimed piece of wood. Wherever I go, I still find camping with my dogs on a remote Cretan beach is my idea of bliss. Meanwhile back at home, baking, experimenting with new recipes - it's all about food!
