It is the ideal destination for anyone longing to avoid crowded and urbanized places.
The house is also perfect as a base from which to set off on a number of excursions around the island, both near and far, for a variety of activities in nature, be it hiking, biking, surfing, horseback riding, canoeing on the nearby lake etc
The nearest village of Apolakkia is located 4 km inland and can be reached by car; a quiet village where you will find tavernas serving delicious food, mini market for basic supplies, and lovely friendly people!

Travel Details from the host -> Born in Australia but raised in Greece from the age of 4, I will never forget the first summer I came to visit my grandfather’s island and in particular the village where he was born, Apolakkia. Ever since that summer, Rhodes, Apolakkia and Limni - our spot on the beach - have held a special place in my heart … It is a place to do all I enjoy doing: retreat from a fast paced life, recharge my batteries; to rest and relax, to explore and enjoy endless expanses of varied nature, but above all it is to return to the love of the most genuine and friendly people I know… The property is on the edge of an isolated beach that stretches for miles; it is a Natura 2000 protected area and a sea turtle nesting ground; perfect for swimming and taking long walks, uninterrupted by anyone or anything… The mountains that rise behind us and further inland also present remarkable beauty, with countless little hidden treasures of villages, meandering trails and breathtaking views… One of the reasons I like hosting people at our cottage, is because it is an opportunity to offer the discerning traveler an experience of the ‘’other side’’ of Rhodes, the unspoilt and very special nature of an island that is widely known as a destination, but not always for reasons that include its natural beauty which is precious and unique. My hope is that the more people appreciate this side of the island the more likely they will be to take an interest and care for its protection and preservation … I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people from around the world, and tend to be the one to welcome guests arriving for their holiday, at times that I am not, there are always people instead that will look after guests needs … My priority is for guests to feel comfortable in a home-away-from-home and to this end I am always available to provide as much assistance as possible, to help figure out what to do, where to go and generally make sure they have the perfect holiday…
