You're right on 5th Avenue, and almost all of the historic/tourist spots in Harlem are within walking distance i.e. Sylvia's Soul Food, the Apollo Theater and more! Neighborbood Overview:

First and foremost, this is an inner-city neighborhood. Secondly, this is Harlem, a historically black neighborhood. If either of these two things scares you, PLEASE do not book this apartment. Several guests have given us less than 5 stars based on "Location" when in fact, nothing was inaccurate about or wrong with the location. It was just that they were not expecting either one or both of the things I mentioned above.

If you are fine with that, then PERFECT! Walk south down historic 5th Ave. to see some beautiful brownstones, The National Black Theatre, Marcus Garvey Park, and to get a taste of Harlem. To get an even livelier taste of Harlem, walk one more block over to Lenox Ave where there's tons of live music; clubs/bars with DJ's including Red Rooster, Corner Social, and Harlem Hookah; amazing restaurants like Sylvia's and Babbalucci; museums; movie theaters; Whole Foods; Harlem's shopping center; local shops and street vendors; and just a whole Harlem experienc
