The space
My home was orginally the residence of the sister of Voltaire, and retains the original stone walls, wooden beams, and 17th century wood paneling in the master bedroom.

Guest access
You have exclusive access to the apartment. I do have a house-keeper that will occassionally come to clean or deliver items should you need them. They will knock first and introduce themselves.

Neighborbood Overview:

Our neighborhood is the "real" Paris, and is a favorite of Parisians because of its many secret gardens and delicious pastry and bread shops. It is minutes by foot to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Place des Vosges, and is on the central metro line in the heart of the city.

Travel Details from the host

We are a professional couple that love to share our homes in London and Paris with fellow lovers of travel. For London: Our favorite things to do include walking to the end of our street and out onto Victoria Embankment Gardens to see the Thames and enjoy a book on the lawns. Also short walk from the home is St. James Park with swans, wild green parrots, and squirrels which will gently take nuts from your hand. The Churchill War Rooms is a museum not to be missed. They do an incredible job of bringing the courage of the British during WWII, to life. You may hop on the Uber boat at Embankment and enjoy a ride to the doorstep of the Tower of London Palace to see the Crown jewels and take a tour with the guards who live on the palace grounds. For Paris: Our favorite things include visiting a different hidden garden in our neighborhood for a picnic. We are still discovering new places! We enjoy visiting the Louvre on the weekend afternoons, a 15 minute walk. In the evenings we like to listen to the free concerts at Place des Vosges, a 4 minute walk from our home. Bertillon is our favorite place for ice cream and is a 7 minute walk. Enjoy it at night in front of the beautifully lit Notre Dame. We are spoiled for good restaurants immediately outside our doorstep, and art such as the amazing Picasso museum is a short stroll. I hope you enjoy staying at our home, and visit again and again.
