This is definitely the best area in Paris.
It's a beautiful, calm, dynamic and central neighborhood.
Here you'll be close to Marché des Enfants Rouges (lovely food market), Carreau du Temple, République, Centre Pompidou, Musée Carnavalet, rue des Franc Bourgeois, Bastille...
This part of Le Marais is also full of small flee markets, design shops, and vintage shops.
Finally, it offers a great night life, being really close to the rue Oberkampf, the area of Strasbourg-Saint-Denis and Bastille where you can find a lot of nice bars and clubs.
