The house is located in a quiet street at the edge of the village, close to a traditional tavern, a small picturesque church and the old stone fountain of the settlement. The imposing hills of the surrounding area are ideal for hiking.

Tzitzifes is a small traditional village at the foot of the White Mountains with a beautiful view of the fertile Vrysa valley. The house is located in an olive grove surrounded by nature (which sometimes rushes to find its way inside the house inevitably :). The village is surrounded by trees, has two excellent traditional taverns and a cafe. Traditional Cretan sheep's milk cheese is made in the village (3 cheese factories).
The sandy beaches of Kalyvo or Georgioupolis can be reached by car in 15 minutes, the village of Fres, with taverns and a small grocery store, is only five minutes away, while the village of Vryses with its shaded riverside taverns and other amenities is about 10 minutes with the car.
The historic town of Chania with its beautiful Venetian harbor is 30 minutes to the west, while the town of Rethymno is about 40 minutes' drive to the east. The archaeological sites of Knossos and Phaistos are just over an hour's drive from the village.
