Palaiokastro is the best place to visit because it is a peaceful village which combines sea and mountain and is only 15 km away from the night life in Heraklion. It is better than staying in Heraklion and avoided the heat wave and still close enough for easy day trip and driving to/from airport and port.

For the nature-lovers who enjoy hiking, there is a choice to span the Palaiokastro’s canyon 300 meters away from the villa. Crossing the canyon, you will meet many sheeps, caves, Cretan herbs and an old church in the cave.
