The space
MARAIS: Fabulous 1-room studio in an 18th century listed building. Located in the heart of historical city center district "Le Marais", this 32 sqm / 322 sqf studio on the top floor (French 4th - no elevator) overlooks the Archives Nationales and the lovely Hotel de Clisson. The studio is complete with kitchenette and full daylight bathroom (with separate WC).

The bathroom has been refitted in spring 2014 (a big thanks to all previous guests who made this possible !) and the flat is ideal for a couple (it sleeps two in a real bed).

Pompidou, etc.), the stylish student (Archives Nationales, direct bus No. 38 to the Sorbonne) or any other type of downtown Paris lover !

Travel Details from the host -> Ex (-born & bred) -Parisian, -Londoner, -Ithaca-er, Moscower and current Berlinerin. I am a corporate lawyer with two kids (wait, it's not as terrible as it may sound), well-traveled and rather cosmopolitan - I also have a country house in Estonia but I do not think it'd qualify for a listing on this site ... I am an avid reader, passionate about Central Asian textiles, Bakelite objects and Soviet porcelain and love to travel in style (unless I am on the Baikal Lake in Siberia). The Paris studio flat is mine and I truly love it so please take good care of it: Each guest receives a very detailed set of "House Rules" and I make a quite candid disclosure of the the fact that there is no elevator, so far no curtains, that cannot flush things in the WC, etc. ... Oh and I have negotiated tough deals with real Russian businessmen so now you are on notice ! I have lived more than 20 yrs in the neighborhood so I can give you some good tips around it.
