The apartment is located at one of the most historical and quiet neighborhoods of the city. During the Ottoman occupation of Crete, on this street had his residence one of the many ottoman ruler of the city, Ibrahim Baba and some parts of his residence are still preserved. The market and all the delicate restaurants, cafes, are located here. Close to the apartment you will find also bakeries, organic food stores pharmacy and banks. East from the apartment is located the famous Venetian fortress Rocca a Mare or “Koules”. Enjoy a long walk at the harbor and visit this magnificent castle of 16th century. West of the apartment you will find two very important museums. The Historical museum (5 minutes walking distance) where you will discover the great history Heraklion has and the Natural history museum (10 minutes walking distance) of Crete.
