"Carte Postale" building is at the port of Andros Gavrio, a fishermen village that gradually turned into the entrance gate for the island. Busy, low profile and not touristy. At the very same building the famous Greek composer Manos Loizos used to spend his vacation with his family in the mid 70s.

You’ll love my place because of its good connectedness to the village and its cozy 60s' atmosphere and its nice common veranda on the top of the building with a nice view to the village and the port. The building and the apartment are also fully renovated.

Our place is at the port of Andros Gavrio, at the quieter back of the village and at a walking distance from practically everything: buses, ferries, supermarkets, bakery shop, gift shops, restaurants etc. No parking problem. There is plenty of free parking space at a very close distance.

Furthermore, Gavrio is standing at a key point for discovering the West side of the island. It is the most organized village relatively close to the amazing beaches of Zorgos, Vitali, Fellos. It is also close to the less touristy Pisolimiona, Vlichada, Mikri and Megali Peza beaches for the more adventurous spirits. Finally, is at 8klm/15 minutes drive from the picturesque and touristy Batsi and close to the pathways 14, 14a, 14b, 15, 15b, 16 and 20 for hiking lovers.

Travel Details from the host -> I come from an Island but I grew up in Athens - When I was a little girl, during summer time, my grandmother used to take me with her to look for tourists whenever a new ferry was coming to the port of Andros - Gavrio. At that time my grandmother was running a small hotel near port. I was really embarrassed because we had to ran behind the tourists and ask them in bad English --- Do you need a room? Of course I have many lovely memories from those people ....I think this is a reason among others that I like communication, learning languages and meeting new people. Times have changed of (Website hidden by Airbnb) grandmother is a retired woman nowadays and she only takes care of her chickens and goats while I am looking for people through the internet !
