"Il Silenzio" is located in a small traditional Cretan village in southern Heraklion, «Magarikari» where peace and quiet are more than enought. Ideal for guests who want to:
•visit sunny beaches, lively places, historical and mountainous sights
•relax together under the stars
•full their minds and hearts with memories.

The space
Our house is built on two levels and is divided into two apartments with an external staircase.
The "Il Silenzio" (first floor) entry concerns the hospitality we provide only on the first floor in order to make its price more affordable for families with fewer members. So the first floor may accommodate 2 adults and 2 litle children if you think that the place is comfortable (about 34 sq. M) and apropriete for 4 persons ( there is a sofa in it that becomes a bed for two children).

In the village there αre: a mini market where you can find almost everything, 3 café,a small outdoor basketball court, a square with a huge plane tree and a fountain where water flows all day long, 3 traditional cafe and a playground for kids where they can play ball and bicycle, a square with the statue of Kapetan Petrakogiorgi, the Koule of Grammeni, the church of Panagia Kera and the church of Timios Stavros from where you can view the Libyan Sea.
Typical is the image of the few inhabitants of the area to drink coffee in the mornings and raki in the evening with a accompaniment of potato overflow and meze.

I don't speak very good English so you will probably meet my wife Virginia when you arrive at our house !!! Virginia loves to welcome her guests (but also respects their choice if they need privacy during the check in and want to take the key from the key box) and makes her best for you to have a great staying in our house!! She makes sure the house is clear and you have the right information about the area so you can plan your vacation better. Every year we visit places around the house and we put them in a guidebook, so you can choose where you want to spent your time !!!
