Our beautiful country house is located between 2 quiet Cretan villages, nestled in olive and wine fields at the foot of the famous Jouchta mountain far away from the mass tourism of Crete and yet only 9 km inland from the center of the capital Heraklion.

You will be 20min away from the closest beaches (Ammoudara, Amnissos, Pantanassa) and you will find traditional villages, restaurants, hiking routes and archaeological places close to the house (Knossos, Archanes).

The space
You can sit wonderfully in the house in the cooler season, e.g. in the evening in front of the open fireplace, as well as relax in the garden and stay on one of the verands on the ground floor or upstairs, depending on the weather conditions and taste. If you want to get to know typical Cretan life from close proximity, you can visit the two villages and drink your Greek coffee in traditional kafeneions as well as an espresso or capucino in the modern cafeteria. If you feel like delicious Cretan cuisine, there are good tavernas in both villages.
Near our house, about 2 km away, there is a supermarket, a traditional fruit and vegetable vendor, 2 kiosks and a pharmacy located right on the main street.

Together with my 2 daughters Nadia and Eva we are very happy to be your host for the duration of your stay in our beautiful country house. It is important to us that you spend your time as pleasantly and relaxed as possible and take home unforgettable impressions... Originally I come from Germany/Hamburg, but live for more than 30 years (except for a break of several years, during which I had to do in Hamburg ) in Crete. I therefore know the country, the people and their mentality and am happy to give you information and tips on how to explore Crete, for example, beyond the typical tourist destinations. By profession I am a gymnastics and yoga teacher. In my free time I like to walk with our dogs in nature, swim all year round in the sea and dance for many years Argentine Tango. I like to cook and bake and appreciate good conversations with friends while eating delicious Cretan food and drinking a glass of Cretan country wine. Above all I love meeting new people. With this in mind, I look forward to welcoming you to our home soon.
