Travel Details from the host -> Just a little bit about me, and my mum, Zlatka, with whom we are co-hosting. We have been living in this part of Crete, amongst olive trees and nature, pretty much all our lives. The past years I am in between Athens and Crete, where I end up in the summers to enjoy the quiet surroundings and an occasional swim. When the weather allows it I love exploring the Cretan countryside by walking along the coastline, up the mountains or passing the numerous gorges that Crete is famous for. My companions on these trips are our two little dogs, Bolek and Waffles, who you will surely meet if you decide to visit ;) Living here has encouraged us to adopt a sustainable/ecological way of living: nothing goes to waste around here, from potato peels to food scraps. What one cannot consume can be used as a fertiliser or to feed the animals living in our farm! Our main occupation is producing olive oil, and we also try to produce as much of our food as we can: tomatoes, peppers, a variety of fruits, eggs from our chickens, and plenty more. Through our Airbnb hosting experience we would like to introduce our guests to our bio-sustainable culture and inspire them to embrace it during their stay!
