The studio looks over the village of Pitsidia, olive orchards as well as the Mediterean Sea. It's a private oasis of peace and quiet but the beaches of Kommos and the lively bars from Matala are all within 2-3 km. A good place from which to explore
The space
The studio sits on a mountain with commanding views of the surrounding landscape, olive orchards and of course the Mediterranean Sea. It offers seclusion and privacy but still has a lively village with bars, restaurants, shops and a bakery within a 10 minute walk from the studio. If you tire of the amazing views from the large very private terrace, you can visit the sandy Kommos beach or try one of the many walking trails in the hills and mountains behind the house.

The studio has a private entrance and it's own parking spot as well as a large 25m2 private terrace as well as an outside (covered) breakfast area.

There are other villages within walking distance which cater to anybody's needs and offer anything from lively bars, nice restaurants, seaside cafe's, archaeological sites and beautiful Cretan landscapes. The greater neighborhood also offers some of the finest sites Crete has to offer such as Festos, Agia Triada, the hippy caves in Matala, the King's Grave in Kamilari and many others.
Travel Details from the host -> We visited Crete for the first time in 1995 and we promptly fell for the island and its inhabitants. Ever since that first visit we dreamt of living here on the island. In 2004 this dream became reality! Now we spend our retirement days enjoying the marvelous view from the hills, the company of our neighbours and friends, the local food and the fantastic weather.
