The house is tied to the history and culture of this island. The house was renovated in 2008, when it turned from a medieval ruin to a beautiful little house, while remaining true to its identity. Right across is the historic tavern of Lilis, where one of Greece's most famous "rebetes" musicians, Markos Vamvakaris, wrote and preformed his songs.
