Although Chania is not a big city, there is much to discover on foot. The Kum Kapi beach is at a walking distance of only 200 meters. Along the seaside road of Miaouli Coast in Koum Kapi, there are cafes, restaurants and bars, all by the sea and overlooking the endless blue of the Cretan Sea. The island is famous for its Cretan diet and food.
At a distance of approximately 800 meters, you can visit the home of the national leader Eleftherios Venizelos, the house of Reuf Pasha and the mansion of Baron Schwarz. At about 600 meters distance three churches stand: a Greek Orthodox, a Catholic, and a Russian Orthodox one.
Moreover, Evelyn's House is within 100 m walk away from a summer cinema. Finally, there are many food shops, markets, bakeries and groceries close by. There's so much for the visitor to see and truly enjoy. The Cretan people are extremely friendly and helpful.

Travel Details from the host -> Hi I'm Evelyn, and I look forward to welcoming you soon! I am married and a mother of two little daughters. I was born and raised on the island of Crete, have studied abroad (U.K.), travelled a lot, and the experience of being an ‘Airbnb’ host and meeting so many lovely people along the way is really something I particularly enjoy. My focus has always been the ultimate satisfaction of my guests. I guarantee prompt assistance, comfortable, relaxing and "home away from home" experience during your stay with high standards of hospitality. I used ‘Evelyn’s House’ as my own home for several years. Since 2016 I have turned it into a for-hire residence hoping to give the opportunity to guests from all over the world to enjoy this magnificent area of Chania town with all the modern amenities. License is granted by the Greek National Tourism Organization (E.O.T.) for the lease of Evelyn’s House. I am looking forward to being your host and making you feel home.
