York Photo walks are about learning and developing your photography knowledge, whilst exploring York’s wonderful history, people and architecture. The aim is to inspire you to stretch your creative legs when you are out and about with your camera. Whether you want to just learn the basics or improve your photography skills the walk will have top tips for all abilities. Whether you have a DSLR, Point and shoot, mobile or tablet camera. We will explore how to improve your technique and photographic composition. Over the course of our walk you will learn how to see the world with an artistic eye. We want this to be a fun learning experience, we walk at a leisurely pace and you are free to ask questions as we go round.

360 degree walk around The Minster , taking photos and getting tips on the best light and angles

WE take a walk and stop for photo opportunities along the City walls to Monkgate bar.

Walk along to The Shambles, taking in the sites and getting great shots of this famous street.

Walking along Fossgate , photographing and taking in the sights of the medieval buildings.

Through a snickleway to The Merchant Adventurers Hall, we take a look around the wonderful grounds and photograph this beautiful medieval building.

The Shambles market has a wide variety of market traders, we will photograph the vibrancy and of this thriving market.

We walk to The Museum Gardens, taking in the remains of the Roman walls and multangular tower, photographing the beautiful the grounds, we will look at the remains of St.Mary's Abbey, walk around The Hospitium, and the observatory.

We walk down to the bridge along Dame Judy Dench walk to admire the bridge and take some interesting shots there.
