The area of KRIOS where this home is situated lies across the bay of Parikia. It’s a hilly residential area with holiday homes, local homes, and some hotels around. The beach of Marcello (also called Paralia Krios) is well known and loved by visitors and locals alike. This is one of the few beaches that are protected even when the strong north winds are blowing. There are a few seaside taverns and beach bars in this area but for grocery shopping, you have to go to Parikia, which is 5 minutes drive away. At the tip of the bay, there is a small chapel called Agios Fokas, very popular with weddings and christenings. The area is great for walking and jogging with many pathways alongside the sea.
