Wir sind eine bunte Patchwork-Familie und unser liebevoll restauriertes Haus – mit drei Appartements - liegt in einem venezianischen historischem Dorf namens Kefalas mit Blick auf die bekannten "lefka ori" (weiße Berge) und das Meer der Ägäis zwischen Chania und Rethymnon im Westen Kretas. Von hier aus kann man herrliche Spaziergänge und Ausflüge in alle Richtungen unternehmen.

Das Dorf selbst ist rund 800 Jahre alt mit einer besonderen Architektur verschiedener Einflüsse und ist vom Tourismus weitestgehend verschont geblieben. Es verfügt über zahlreiche kleine Tavernen und traditionelle Cafés, einen Bio- und einen Supermarkt, welche bei einem Spaziergang durch verwunschene kleine Gassen zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen sind. in area-Travel Details from the host -> Kalimera! I‘m a Greek/German girl from Crete living in Berlin. My father is Greek and lives in a cute little village called Kefalas. Twenty years ago he inherited a ruin which he renovated over years all on his own. I think he did a really good job maintaining the old traditional style of stone building. The house is divided into four apartments which have all access to a large court and pool area. Back in the days he was the first one in his village having a pool! (Now almost everybody has) He designed a very unique and imperfect perfect little paradise. The house is located in one of the most beautiful mountain villages in this area. From here you can see the beauty of the big white mountains called „leuka Ora“. You also got the sea view on the other side. If you’re interested in staying in our beautiful home I recommend having a rental car. Crete is an island for explorers. Nothing is in one place. There are so many different places to go to so it’s really helpful to have a car. My dad also offers boat trips to some hidden jams and a couple of caves you can only enter by sea. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. I know almost everything about this island I would call my home.
