From their private roof garden terrace as well as from the apartment’s interior spaces guests enjoy rare and stunning up-close views of the Acropolis and of the Parthenon temple itself.
The space
The residence was built in the 1920s and is situated on one of the loveliest and most quiet and secluded streets in the vibrant Koukaki - Makriyianni neighborhood. It has been our family home for a generation and is where our children grew up. Combining respect for history and tradition with modern amenities, it provides the ideal stay for the visitor who appreciates and wants to enjoy the very best of Athens then and now.

Our home is in the heart of a quiet but vibrant neighborhood. While removed from the tourist crowds, we have immediate access (five to ten minutes by foot) to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum as well as the popular Plaka and Thissio quarters. Steps away are the Hill of the Muses (Philopappou Hill) for taking walks with spectacular views of Athens and the sea, and the ancient Herodion Theatre (Odeon of Herodes Atticus) where performances of theatre, dance and music take place during the summer months and through mid-October.
The surrounding streets and squares of Koukaki and Makriyianni are brimming with restaurants, cafés and bars. For guests’ daily needs there are grocery stores and pharmacies within a five-minute walk, as well as one of Athens’ most famous bakeries. Fresh fruits and vegetables and other local products are available in abundance at our weekly outdoor farmers’ market (a ten to fifteen minute walk depending on the season).
