This house is at the top of Hora almost next the monastery of Saint John, adjacent to the church of Megali Panagia. It has been built to the most up to date standard in a very quiet and peaceful area of the medieval town. 

Even in August, it remains very quiet despite being less than a three minute walk from the main square.

The space
This is a beautifull villa that has been recently rebuilt in the traditional style using local materials from Patmos. It features two main bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the first floor. It has a double bed (160x200cm). The other bedroom is on the ground floor and has two single beds. They can be combined to make a double (180x200cm) as well as a sofa bed for a child. It is supplemented with a charming but very small guest room with a bunk bed suitable for a teenager or domestic help. Every room has its own en-suite bathroom.

The house is located in one of the most quiet parts of Hora at the top of the village. The house is adjacent to the church of Megali Panagia that only celebrations on very few special occasions throughout the year. Behind the church is the monastery of St. John, so you are really in one of the highest houses on the island.

Travel Details from the host -> Switzerland is my birthplace. I was schooled and eductated in Zuich and St.Gallen Business School. Then moved to London. I am married and we have a lovely daughter. Now, we spend our time between London, Zurich, Athens and, of course, Patmos. My family and I have been coming to Patmos since the late 1960' and we have contributed towards the development of the island by reconstructing dilapidated houses in Hora and opening them up to our friends. We have seen the island develop from a forgotten place to the epicentre of of the global elite. Our houses are located next to the monastery facing sout-west towards Profitis Elias and are well protected from the meltemi. They have been designed to allow to enjoy the outside spaces yet guarding everyone's privacy.
