The apartment is overlooking a plaza next to the Jussieu university campus (3rd floor, no elevator). It is at the building's angle (has 6 tall windows) and the ceiling is very high (3 meters, or 10 feet).

The space

Pros:
* Extremely well located, literally 30 second walk to subway station, awesome & safe neighborhood
* Very bright and comfortable
* Everything setup to make your stay easy & convenient
* Very responsive and experienced (since 2014) host

Cons:
* Slight subway noise (if you are *very* sensitive to noise -- but no guests have found it an issue so far, read below if you're concerned)
* 3rd floor (US 4th floor), no elevator

The metro station is just a few feet from the apartment. The location is a very student-friendly one, with the large "Jussieu" campus right next to it.

Neighborbood Overview:

The area is in the 5th district of Paris, and it's basically the Eastern side of the Latin Quarter. It's a very safe, lively and student-friendly neighborhood (the apartment is right next to an university campus). It's also the historical center of Paris even from the Roman Empire times. There's an ancient Roman arena (Arènes de Lutèce) very near (probably 5 to 10 minute walk). The Seine river is also 5 minutes away on foot, and the Notre-Dame cathedral is probably 12-13 minutes away.
