Around the corner of 5 min walking distance are two big parks: Parc du Forest and Parc Duden. Due to the short distances, the historical city center of Brussels can be reached by bus in 15 minutes or by feet in 25 min. The vibrant neighborhood of St Gilles/St Gillis is located just behind the Parc du Forest. It is an area of young and artsy pubs, cafés, various restaurants and more hipster-ish shops, just next to original and Bruxellois locations. The main spots are Parvis de St Gilles, Place van Meenen, Chaussée d’Alsemberg. From Parvis or Albert you have alternative Tram connections to reach the city center and the North or South of Brussels.
