The space
The semi-cave house is directly accessible by cars, taxis and mini-vans from a narrow road (typical for Santorini) that leads to a dead-end. It consists of the main house (2 bedrooms) and a guest room (1 en-suite bedroom) with two yards in between them. The house is always cool during the summer and airy.

A lovely residential area, yet close to everything. "Exo Gonia" is one of the few villages in Santorini left untouched by tourism. The name means Outer Corner. In old maps it is also indicated as Apano Gonia (Upper Corner). Hidden on the island's valley-side, it still manages to retain yesterday's way-of-life. The daily life of its 300+ residents still has elements of the warm relationships of the past. Its single tavern "Metaxi mas" is famous (amongst the top in TripAdvisor) for its great Greek-Cretan cuisine and balcony view. Narrow alleys, beautiful old houses, nice yards, a traditional church, a playground and places for children to play. Enjoy the spectacular view from Saint Charalampos church. There are no hotels or other tourist facilities. The close-by village of Pyrgos is also very scenic and provides a mini market, pharmacy, taverns, coffee shops, etc. The island has a new general hospital.
