Villa Depy is located in the city of Ierapetra. It is fully equipped with home appliances that can meet the needs of a pleasant and comfortable home-based stay. Surrounded by a garden with trees and flowers. It has two verandas, one south and one northern and a courtyard next to the kitchen, places suitable for morning coffee, rest, various meals. It is a 5-minute walk from the city center where guests can get everything they need from the various shops, taste local cuisine in the taverns, have their coffee in the central square or anywhere in the beautiful beachfront, visit the archaeological museum and castle. There is also the beach of the city with its crystal clear waters. Finally, there is regular daily boat communication to the island of Chrissi (Gaidouronisi the old name), the second southernmost island of Europe with its magical beaches.

The neighborhood includes many detached houses and two-storey houses. See the relevant Google Map map. It is quiet, with little traffic on the relatively wide streets around. The house on the three sides rests on a street and on the fourth side it is separated by a wall from the neighboring building, providing enough isolation and privacy from the surrounding houses. Within 5-10 minutes' walk there are supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, a gas station and a hospital.

Γεννήθηκα στην Κρήτη, σ ένα ψαροχώρι δίπλα στη θάλασσα σε μια εποχή που η Ελλάδα ήταν ένας μαγικός παράδεισος, με χρώματα, αρώματα και μεσογειακές γεύσεις….τα σπίτια ανοιχτά, οι καρδιές πρόσχαρες, οι άνθρωποι φτωχοί και ταυτόχρονα ανοιχτόκαρδοι και γεμάτοι πάθος για ζωή. Από οικογένεια διανοουμένων από την πλευρά του πατέρα και γεωργών από την πλευρά της μητέρας. Από μικρή λάτρεψα τη θάλασσα, τα αρώματα των άγριων χόρτων του βουνού,τα γραφικά ξωκκλήσια,τα βιβλία και τη μουσική!!! Ταξιδεύω από παιδί σ' όλη την Ελλάδα μεγαλώνοντας και στο εξωτερικό. Λατρεύω τα νησιά και ιδιαίτερα την Κρήτη, όπου οι θρύλοι της Ιστορίας με φέρνουν στο μεγάλο πάθος μου την αρχαιολογία…ο Δαίδαλος κι ο Ίκαρος, ο μίτος της Αριάδνης και ο Μινώταυρος πυροδοτούν την φαντασία μου. Σπούδασα κλασική φιλολογία και ιστορία. Διαβάζω και γράφω πολύ. Παράλληλα μ' αρέσει η μαγειρική και κυρίως η μεσογειακή κουζίνα με τα φρέσκα ψάρια, τα άγρια χόρτα και λαχανικά. Ωστόσο όλες οι κουζίνες του κόσμου εξιτάρουν τη φαντασία μου. Λατρεύω τους ατέλειωτους αμπελώνες και την τέχνη του κρασιού. Παρακολουθώ την πνευματική και καλλιτεχνική κίνηση της χώρας μου, το αρχαίο θέατρο, συναυλίες κλασικής μουσικής και τζάζ. Πιστεύω πως η ομορφιά της ζωής βρίσκεται στην απλότητα, στις δυνατές φιλίες, σ' ένα στρωμένο τραπέζι, που οι άνθρωποι συζητούν, φιλοσοφούν και ανοίγουν την καρδιά τους!!! Ως οικοδέσποινα έχω πάντα ανοιχτό το σπίτι μου, σεβόμενη τον Ξένιο Δία…η συντροφικότητα,η ζεστασιά και η επικοινωνία είναι το αλάτι της ζωής και έχω ένα σταθερό μότο ,που με καθορίζει « ό,τι κι αν συμβεί: keep walking”…με σεμνότητα κι ανθρωπιά, πίστη κι αγάπη και κυρίως χαμογέλα στη ΖΩΗ!!! Hello, everyone, I’m Depy! I was born by the sea, in a fishing village back in a time where Greece was a magical place full of colors, exotic scents and Mediterranean tastes. Despite being poor the people were cheerful, open-hearted and with a lust for life. Since I was a little kid I loved music, the sea and isolated small picturesque churches scattered in Greece. Also, because of my parents’ suggestions for pastime, I fell in love with the smell of books and mountain herbs. My father was a senior judicial officer and my mother from an agricultural family. So far in my life, I‘ve traveled throughout Greece and abroad. I love the islands and especially Crete where history and legends feed my passion for archeology. The adventures of Daedalus and Icarus as well as those of Theseus, trigger my imagination. I studied classical philology; I read and write a lot. Additionally, I love cooking and especially Mediterranean cuisine because it’s full of fresh fish, herbs and all kinds of vegetables. Of course, I love exploring cuisines from all over the world and tasting their delicacies. I love endless vineyards and the art of producing wine. I keep a close eye on literature and artistic events in general in my country such as concerts of classical and jazz music. I believe that beauty in life dwells in relatively simple things such as a table prepared for dinner where good friends discuss their opinions on life and open up their hearts as time passes. As a hostess, I believe in ‘Xenios Zeus,’ as it embodies the concept of having your house open for guests and thus providing such a dinner table. Companionship, hearth warmth, and communication are necessary ingredients in life. My personal motto is ‘’ whatever the misfortune, keep walking with humility, humanity, good faith, love and a big smile on your face.’’
