in area-Afrathias, South Crete, GreeceThe house is just a few minutes walk from the beach of Afratias, a beautiful natural beach and in a very quite area. The beach is mix with sand & pebbles, there are also big flagstones in the water and you can have a nice walk along the sea (about 25min) until the next village Kalamaki. From there the beach turns into a white sandy beach and you can walk along to Komos beach, which is one of the best beaches of Europe It is a natural beach, without houses, just with 2 taverns and a little hidden beach bar in the center of the beach.
At our beach there is one small tavern, for coffee, snacks, salates and nice plates with typical Cretan food. We have also many other good taverns in our area, like in the village Kamilari (5min by car) you will find good places like taverna Kypos, Chrisopigi, the famous pizzaria...
