Harlem is full of diverse cultures with a number of places to listen to jazz on the west side and then Spanish restaurants located on the east side. There are three major parks within walking distance to either find a quiet place to relax or listen to live music and see performances.

Travel Details from the host

I am from Westchester, NY which is about an hour north of NYC. Been living in Harlem since 2012 now with my boyfriend, Ryan and small dog, Della who is a Jack Russel dachshund mutt. Della is friendly, likes to cuddle and will always greet you at the door. For work I design data visualizations using a variety of data sets for an educational company. I originally went to school for painting then industrial design but landed in the data world. Outside of work I have a passion for furthering my yoga practice (vinyasa) along with teaching a few classes a week. On a typical weekend you can find me staying in prepping for a yoga class to going out with my friends to enjoy a restaurant or bar in the city. Favorite books: The Old Man and the Sea, The Untethered Soul, Visual Intelligence TV shows: Stranger Things, Grays Anatomy, Last Man on Earth, The Crown I have traveled to Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Spain, Germany, Austria, France, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Italy, Switzerland, England. In the US I enjoy going out west to California, Colorado, Utah or traveling within driving distance of NYC.
