My name is Edna Spencer. I come from a large family and am the eldest of my siblings. Mother of two beautiful daughters and i am a proud grandmother of two grown grandchildren. I have a thirst for knowledge which has led me to obtain my AA degree from the College of New Rochelle, BS from Columbia University and a MS degrees from Long Island University (LIU), and currently, I am in the process of pursuing my doctorate, Ed.D, in Higher Education at Capella University while working full time. At the present time, I am employed as an Academic Adviser at a prestigious University, where I incorporate all the skills I have cultivated over the years to work with students to achieve their educational goals of obtaining their college degree. In my spare time, I enjoy reading the Bible (Old Testament), fiction novels, listening to music (spiritual, R & B and almost any kind of music with good rhythm), cooking new and old favorite recipes for my family members and friends. Though I am a social person who enjoy making people laugh, I also frequently meditate. This time allows me to plan my next course of action for the week and/or just prepare for bible study. Enjoyable to me also, is sightseeing, exploring the different sights not yet seen, in different neighborhoods, boroughs and dinning at different restaurants to their culture and eateries. One of the best occasions is watching the Yankee baseball game at the Yankee Taven on a large screen, to include championship boxing, soccer, NFL football, NBA Basketball, ice skating as well as figure skating and Polo. I am a die-heart sports fan. I enjoy life to the fullest and hope that the guest that come to reside at my place will be comfortable and will gladly return because of the cleanliness of my home, respect shown to ever guest and how welcome they felt when they stayed at my residence. My goal is to make my guest feel like home away from home. Welcome all, enjoy your stay and a safe trip back to your own home.
