Travel Details from the host -> Eleftheria Ntaoukaki - Owner and Manager of Villa Elvina & Elvina City House Family Sentimental Values: The Story Behind Villa Elvina In the middle of the 20th century,Paterakis family,were privileged to be the owners of the biggest factory of oil production in the NorthWest part of Crete as well as the land owners of the largest waterfront areas in Drapanias beach of Cretan gulf.At the beggining,the family's large seaside areas,were mainly used for the cultivation of grapes,potatoes and tomatoes.On the other hand,the lack of irrigation system,resulted in watering the huge seaside areas,through wells which were a few meters below the earth! It is obvious that,Paterakis family,working hard for many years,has essentially contributed to the development of the whole both mountain and coastal areas of Kissamos. In the late 1990's,Pateraki's daughter,Niki and her husband,Yiannis Ntaoukakis,a well known physician of the region,decided to fulfil their dream which was the building of a spacious villa,as their summer cottage,in one of the family's waterfront areas.Their children,Eleftheria and Evelyn,during their childhood,did experience unforgettable moments at the beachfront villa! A few years later,Eleftheria,the current owner and manager of Villa Elvina,and,her husband,Michael,came accross with the idea to add a magnificent pool to the almost 5.000m2 outer space of the villa and,in that way,to pass to their guests authentic experiences of an exclusively private and peaceful villa!
