We really enjoyed this way to travel : it's the best way to meet interesting people, discover and share the way they live, as well as their favorite addresses in town. Hotels are so impersonal and boring… ! We met great people during this trip. We so much enjoyed this way of travelling that we decided to offer the same opportunity to tourists and our guests ! We love our flat : unique is not too much ! Located in the vivid and authentic area of Pigalle, the flat is on the 6th and last floor (with elevator !). From here you will have a view all over Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur. From the living-room and kitchen, the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Panthéon and Centre Pompidou will be at your feet… The flat is a typical « Haussmanian » one with wooden floor (« pointe de Hongrie »), ceilings decorated with mouldings. The size is amazing for Paris : 120m² (1400 square feet), 3 bedrooms appartment, double living room (not like in other flats, where the living room is used as a bedroom...), 2 bathrooms, independent kitchen. The library and the deco of the flat are linked to the history of the place : art books and photos, paintings and drawings. Since 2022, after 12 years working at the French Congress, Carmen devoted herself fully to working with clay and setting up her own pottery studio in this place, so close to Montmartre which is a constant source of inspiration to her. She designs and produces useful domestic objects as well as pieces of art. Mostly thrown, these contemporary ceramics are intended for everyday use and decoration, and are entirely handmade by Carmen. The flat is not only the perfect place to create but also to expose her ceramics and organise exhibitions ; you will be able to see some of the production and, should you be interested in, you may also have the possibility to buy some of the pieces.
