Rodakino is a village in the Southwest of Rethimnon prefecture and in particular in the west of the municipality of Phoinikas. It is 41km from the town of Rethimno. It is also situated near the border of Eastern Sfakia.. In the East, there is the village Sellia just 12 km away while Plakias is situated about 15 km in the South.
Nowadays Rodakino consists of two settements. The Pano Rodakino and the Kato Rodakino which are connected with a 2km roadway. In the middle of the distance there is a wild, impressive gorge which is crossed by a bridge of Cretan architecture. It was built during the time of the Cretan State in the 1900. The gorge is imposing with its wilderness and in the North it is inaccessible. Basic income of the villagers comes from olive oil and stock farming.
