In the 14th arrondissement (district) of Paris you find the joyful area of Montparnasse (5min walk). The flat is also close to the very centre of Paris (15/20min from St-Michel/Notre-Dame/City Hall)

If the Didot street itself is quiet, the local neighborhood of Pernety, is one of the more lovely & alive of the all south of Paris : tons of good restaurants, bars and stores, various architecture, markets, organic-food markets, bloc parties, flea markets, art galleries, cinemas, cosy parks... The best of a typical Parisian district!

Shops for both daily life and big occasions are easily available (medium mall at 5min walk).
