Located in the triangle of Hôtel de Ville, place de la Bastille and place de la République, The Marais is the well preserved and historic heart of Paris.

In the 15th century, the king built a residence, the hôtel Saint-Paul. But the most important thing and turning point for the district was the construction of the place Royale (the current place des Vosges) in the beginning of the 17th century. Indeed, after that, the most beautiful hotels were built during the 17th and 18th centuries (hôtel de Sully, hôtel Carnavalet, hôtel de Soubise, hôtel Rohan…).

In order to properly appreciate this historic district, it is necessary to loose yourself in all the narrow streets bordered by old buildings.

The Marais has always been a privileged place of amusement and of promenade. By the way, shops there are open on Sunday.

In the Marais, you will find and enjoy lots of monuments (Cathédrale Notre-Dame, Eglise St Paul, Tour St Jacques, Hôtel de Ville…)

Nous nous sommes d’ailleurs rencontrés au bout du monde, en Tasmanie, et avons décidé de faire le tour de l’Asie et du Pacifique ensemble. Nous partageons donc cette même passion du voyage et de l’aventure. Nous aimons découvrir de nouvelles choses, rencontrer des gens venant des quatre coins du globe. Nous habitons à Paris, au cœur du Marais. Paris est une ville qui nous est chère. C’est une ville qu’on ne connaît jamais complètement. Chaque jour est l’occasion de la connaître un peu mieux… Et plus on connaît Paris, plus on y découvre des tas de petits endroits insolites. Nous avons choisi de vivre au cœur du Marais, quartier historique en plein centre de Paris. C'est un petit village où il fait bon vivre, à l'atmosphère unique et colorée, animé, mais qui connaît aussi ses moments de sérénité... Nous ne pouvons que vous inviter à vous perdre dans les petites ruelles qui font le charme du Marais... Vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin à proximité. Il y a de nombreux restaurants et cafés, pharmacies, commerces alimentaires, boutiques, musées, lieux culturels et historiques, transports en commun... Si nous avons décidé de louer notre appartement, c’est parce que nous souhaitons pouvoir faire partager à d’autres ce que nous vivons ici à Paris. Notre petit havre de paix vous permettra, nous l'espérons, d'être dans les meilleures conditions pour partir à la découverte de Paris, ou tout simplement cocooner le temps d'un week-end... The atsmospher here is really eclectic and vibrant, there are also many restaurants and cafés, theaters, cinemas, many shops (food, decoration, gifts, clothes), museums and historical buildings, many transports… But if you need some peace, you can also find it by walking in the many old and small streets all around... If we decided to rent our apartment, it is because we want to share with others what we experience here in Paris. Our « home sweet home » is the perfect starting point to visit the city.
