Je m'appelle Claire, I am from Paris and am 30 years old. Above all, I am a global citizen. 1. I spent indeed my whole childhood abroad. For instance, I spent 2 years in Beijing and 1 year in England. Such opportunities allowed me to travell all over the world. On the other side, my boyfriend, Peter, who is english, loves travelling in distant corners of the world (South America, South-East Asia, ...), but also in Europe, of course for several days. We plan to go to China for 4 weeks and discover distant areas, not yet visited, like Tibet, the hills from Yunan. We both like travelling and both have the same idea of travellig. 2. We are both indeed convinced that the best way to discover a country is to "humanise" the visit. We think that the hotel is unpersonal and neutral. We would thus have a faded trip. On the contrary, if you have the possibility to temporarily stay in a living flat, you have a best way to discover the country by its inhabitants. Moreover, we think that going to the supermarket enables us to eat some local products. Consequently, to discover a country, you must feel like a local :-) ! 4. Last thing about travelling, it is important to know a bit about the country you are about to visit. Therefore, before taking the train (or the plane), we both think it is important to learn about history and a bit of the language ... (we have to admit it is quite difficult ...) ! 3. More personally, I like reading, walking, going to the cinema and playing the piano. I cannot travel without my books. 4. Our motto is "carpe diem - seize the day" !
