The space
The apartment is on the first floor, accessible by a long straight staircase. You then enter through a hallway that gives access to the kitchen and living areas. The kitchen and dining room both have a view of the terrace, and are therefore very light spaces. Through the kitchen you enter the terrace, which is not enclosed but very open and casts a glance at a landscape of typical Flemish back-building. The terrace also borders our back house, where we store our private belongings when we have visitors. The bqq around the corner is however available! There is a gas fire in the kitchen and we have a small but very capable oven! As well as a microwave. There is a fridge with freezer compartment, and there is a washing machine that you can use. You then walk along the Offerandestraat, which is a car-free shopping street, where you will also find the supermarket Albert Heyn. You can also shop in the Chinese street for typical Asian specialties, or in the regular supermarket there, which is located in an old market hall! In the other direction you walk further to Borgerhout, with the Turnhoutsebaan as axis along which you will find all kinds of parks, squares and eating and drinking places. Or you can walk further towards the Seefhoek, where you will find, among other things, beautiful Park Spoor Noord. Borgerhout and the Seefhoek are both authentic and lively neighborhoods of Antwerp.
