The General hospital is 5 minutes (driving dinstance), the old town is 10 minutes, the closest beach on the West side of the island is less than 5 minutes away. I would suggest a nice afternoon walk from the house to Acropolis and the old stadium. Stunning view on your left - the sunset, Ialysos bay panorama and Symi island at the backround.
