The neighbourhood is safe, quiet, multicultural and family friendly. Going to the city center and the Grand Place is very easy with the metro (only 4 stops). It can also be a nice walk from the apartment (about 25 minutes) as you can reach it through the Botanical Gardens. During the summer children will enjoy a small playground just few meters away from the house. There are cafés and restaurants nearby (about 10 to 15 walking distance).

Travel Details from the host -> We are a family of 4 travelling the world to get out of our comfort zone and to meet other people, other cultures, habits and nature. We also host since 2012 in Brussels at The Mayeres House, a charming Art Nouveau mansion that is part of Belgian architectural protected heritage. We love to welcome our guests as a family and to see their smile when they leave. Therefore, hosting means for us way more than a job. It is something we do with pleasure and a way to create beautiful memories.
